Eric Fisher

Eric Fisher is a professor of economics at California Polytechnic State University. He is an expert in international economics. Dr. Fisher has a lengthy record of publishing articles in the areas of international finance, monetary economics, international trade, and economic growth. Prior to joining the faculty of California Polytechnic, he was an associate professor at Ohio State University, and prior to that, an assistant professor at Cornell University. He was AGIP Professor of International Economics at John Hopkins University's Bologna Center, and served as an economist on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC. He has been a visiting scholar or professor at the University of Munich, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the University of California at Santa Barbara, the Australian National University, and numerous other distinguished universities and organizations. Dr. Fisher has received honors, awards and scholarships from Princeton University, John Hopkins University, and the Western Agricultural Economics Association, and grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the National Science Foundation. He received his Ph.D in economics from the University of California at Berkeley, his M.A. in international relations from the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and his A.B. in philosophy from Princeton University.
