Work History :: Alicia Robb

Dr. Robb brings a wide variety of professional experiences to Beacon Economics. As the founder of an international development organization that works in eight countries, she has extensive experience in social entrepreneurship, and a variety of community development issues including education and microfinance. In addition, she brings a great deal of knowledge from both private sector and government posts. She has worked as a staff economist for an economic consulting firm and as an economist for the Office of Economic Research in the Small Business Administration and for the Division of Research and Statistics at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Her main research areas are minority entrepreneurship, discrimination in lending, community development, microfinance, and small business development. She holds a B.A. in economics from St. Mary’s University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
