Bryan Castro is a Research Associate at Beacon Economics. Mr. Castro is responsible for conducting data and policy analysis in support of a wide range of the firm's projects and initiatives. His professional research interests include economic development, labor economics, and public sector economics. He is broadly experienced in using econometric software such as STATA, eViews, MATLAB, and Julia to perform statistical analysis and forecasting. Recently, he was heavily involved in analyzing the social impacts of a major university in Southern California and in conducting an employment forecast and analysis for the City of Oakland. Formerly, he was an intern with Beacon Economics and prior to that worked as a math teacher and as a tutor for ‘School on Wheels’ in Los Angeles. Mr. Castro holds an M.A. degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a B.A. degree in Economics and B.S. degree in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach.
