Justin Niakamal is a Research Associate at Beacon Economics, LLC. Mr. Niakamal is responsible for supporting a wide variety of the firm’s analytic products and services. His work includes cleaning, maintaining, and managing large and complex datasets; conducting econometric modeling and analysis; conducting literature reviews in support of policy and economic impact analysis; creating presentation materials; and writing regional reports. He has academic experience in regression analysis, econometrics, economic forecasting, and in the application of statistical and econometric software programs including EViews. In a graduate level internship at Applied Medical, Mr. Niakamal worked with large data sets to provide sales forecasts. He is currently pursuing additional academic training in Bayesian inference, an important statistical technique and key research interest. Mr. Niakamal holds an M.S. degree in Economics from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a B.A. degree in Economics from California State University, Long Beach.
