Currently, the Beacon Employment Report | Texas focuses on the state’s two largest metropolitan areas, the Dallas and Houston metros.

The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro area also saw an increase of 9,500 jobs in June. Employment in the region in June 2021 was 3.0% lower than in February 2020. Over this period, 115,200 jobs have been lost in the Dallas region.

In the Houston-Woodlands-Sugar Land metro area, total nonfarm employment decreased by 2,200 jobs in June. Employment in the region in June 2021 was 5.9% lower than in February 2020. Over this period 196,600 jobs have been lost in the Houston region.
