Economic Research For The Inland Empire
Beacon Economics specializes in analyzing the highly diverse economies of the Inland Empire, one of California’s most vital growth regions.
Consisting of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, the Inland Empire makes up an economic area larger than Detroit, Seattle, San Diego, or Orange County.
As of April 2023, we no longer operate the UC Riverside School of Business Center for Economic Forecasting and Development
Our economic research, speaking events, and partnerships in and about the Inland Empire are now produced and housed under Beacon Economics’ brand.
During our tenure operating the Center for Economic Forecasting and Development, we authored dozens of analyses, partnered in major annual forecast conferences, and our Founding Partner Christopher Thornberg delivered presentations to scores of local governments, civic organizations, nonprofits, and private sector businesses across the region.
You can find examples of the work we produced while operating the Center on the
UC Riverside School of Business website.
We were chosen by UC Riverside’s School of Business to operate the Center for Economic Forecasting and Development based on our history of producing valuable economic forecasts, analyses, conferences, and insights about the Inland Empire. That work continues today at Beacon Economics.
