65+ years of collective industry experience and wide-ranging expertise

Monterey County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
In 2020, Beacon Economics managed and developed the County of Monterey’s new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), encompassing the Cities of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Del Rey Oaks, Greenfield, Gonzales, King City, Marina, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Salinas, Sand City, Seaside, and Soledad.
The final, action-oriented, document guided Monterey County’s public agencies and departments, local jurisdictions, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and communities in understanding the economic landscape (in the context of historical trends, competitive advantages, chronic challenges, and most recently the impact of COVID-19) to inform future growth and development. The following areas were addressed across the CEDS:
