Narek Mkrtoumian is Business Development Manager at Beacon Economics, LLC. Mr. Mkrtoumian is responsible for managing and administering the firm’s business development and sales processes and initiatives. He is also instrumental in supporting marketing functions and managing events and conferences. In addition, Mr. Mkrtoumian has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), utilizing GIS as a tool to help answer questions about the urban environment. He previously served as a planning intern for the City of Glendale and the City of Burbank. He also worked to develop an accurate exit poll precinct selection methodology for the 2014 Gubernatorial General Election through the use of GIS at the Center for the Study of Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University. While at LMU, Mr. Mkrtoumian conducted additional research on the state of transportation equity in the United States. This work included a case study on the City of Los Angeles and the use of tax subsidies to fund public transit. Mr. Mkrtoumian holds a B.A. degree in Urban Studies from Loyola Marymount University.
